HOMEBASE LANGUAGE ARTS

Today we did a prewriting activity and started working on our rough drafts for our one-page essay about why we would like to visit Ireland.  The students will have more time in class tomorrow to work with a buddy to get edited.  FINAL DRAFT DUE THURSDAY.

C TRACK MATH

Deriving equivalents.  In other words, if you know a common fraction/decimal equivalent like 1/4 = 0.25, you can use it to figure out another one like 3/4 by either adding or multiplying.

B TRACK MATH

What to do about never-ending division problems: bar notation for repeating decimals and rounding.  We ran out of time so we will have class time to start this assignment, which means NO HOMEWORK tonight.  For those of you who would like EXTRA CREDIT and think you know how to do the problems we started in class today, if you'd like to finish them I will give you 10 EC points.
