Thursday, Sept. 18

HOMEBASE LANGUAGE ARTS
Tonight (the 18th) is the kickoff to the Ken Garff Road to Success reading program.  For the purposes of the students' independent reading grades they are still required to read 100 minutes per week.  For the purposes of the Road to Success program students can read as many minutes as they want.  For every 100 minutes they will get a ticket to be entered in a drawing for a new bicycle!

A TRACK MATH
POD: Figure This #41
Lesson: Long division with repeating decimals - we continued to work on this in class.  Students should be ready to turn this assignment in tomorrow!  We also did our basic facts timing today.
HW: Study basic facts.  You have 3 more school weeks and 6 more calendar weeks to have those basic facts timings passed off for Term 1 grades.  

C TRACK MATH
POD: Figure This #26
Assignment: Worksheet.  Complete the long division and then check using the steps we took notes on.
HW: Finish worksheet if you haven't already.  Study basic facts.  You have 6 more weeks to have those timings passed off!  

D TRACK MATH
POD: Figure This #26
Lesson: Checking long division problems (see link on C Track for notes).
Assignment: Using the long division with remainders worksheet from last week, please check your answers using the steps from the notes.  Turn in.
HW: Finish assignment if you haven't already.  Study basic facts.  You have 8 weeks to get your basic facts passed off!
