HOMEBASE:
I am really disappointed by the number of people who did not have their "list of 5" today. Today we worked on a worksheet that supports the Time For Kids article on food allergies. This will help the students understand the issue and prepared them to write a one page persuasive essay on the topic of institutional responsibility versus personal responsibility when it comes to monitoring foods for potential allergens.
HOMEWORK: 10 amazing spelling sentences; have a parent read and edit your allergy essay and write your final copy.
D TRACK MATH:
We corrected our comparing and ordering fractions, decimals and percents paper. I am stunned by the number of students who did not complete this assignment. Between the resources online and the availability of my phone number and email there is really no reason for a student to not be able to complete an assignment. We also worked on putting common fractions and their decimal equivalents on a number line.
HOMEWORK: Memorize the decimal equivalent of 1/10, 1/8, 1/6, 1/5, 1/4, 1/3 and 1/2. There will be a quiz on Monday.
C TRACK MATH:
We corrected our second fraction to decimal assignment. Yay C Track - you had a great turn in rate!
HOMEWORK: Finish decimal to fraction assignment.
B TRACK MATH:
We corrected our multiplying fraction review and started working on dividing fractions. I have a movie you can watch if you need to.
HOMEWORK: Finish dividing fractions assignment.
